A great bear of a man, kind , gentle, considered, with a great sense of humour and an even better laugh. A family man, a religious man, a fantastic doctor and a good friend to all. RIP

Dr Ball visited me at home out of hours in 2004 and was instrumental in getting me admitted to hospital. And there on my cancer diagnosis.
I’m still here 20yrs on partly due to his early intervention. Words cannot express my gratitude.

So sad to hear of the passing of Dodes, our university friend, whom we remember with great fondness. Sincere condolences to Jacqui and family.
